Welcome to Ty Pradigo

This charming, recently restored stone-built cottage is rurally located in the tiny hamlet of le Pradigo on the edge of the small village of Guern, 12km from the large town of Pontivy in Morbihan, Brittany. The cottage is nearly 100 years old and has been recently renovated.

But don't take my word for it, this is what some of my guests thought about their stay:

"If anyone wants confirmation of your cottage please let them get in touch with us....... we found the cottage absolutely lovely with a charm all of its own. The area was very good and very central for going places. We wish you luck with your endeavour and hopefully we will get back next year.Take care"   Mac and Yvonne M. June 2008

"One cannot help but being enchanted by Ty Pradigo for a whole variety of reasons. Firstly, there is a feeling of real peaceful tranquility and that you are escaping the rat race and the humdrum of everyday life. The nearby village is an idyllic rural retreat with exceptionally friendly locals who go out of their way to help strangers lost in the middle of the night. Secondly, the  opportunities for great walks, cycling and canoeing are too good to ignore and some wonderful memories of the river Blavet still exist. Thirdly the house itself is exceptionally well apportioned, the kitchen area has enough for a foodie to engage in some genuine French cuisine whilst the beds are comfortable and the evening entertainment is augmented with a modern TV and accompanying satellite system. It is clean and tidy and the owner is naturally very proud of the property. Finally it is within striking distance of some beautiful coastal towns and some excellent historical sites. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a real family holiday in the Breton countryside."                   Neil W and family. July 2007

"We had a fantastic week in Ty Pradigo. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the little touches, such as fresh herbs, good-quality pots, pans and glasses, made a huge difference.  Staying there was like house-sitting for a friend, particularly as the fridge was so well stocked on arrival!  The garden is a great size and the family enjoyed many games of football and boules whilst barbequing some of the fantastic local produce. The locals were all very friendly; the lady in the crêperie was most welcoming and served delicious potato galettes accompanied by a great local cider- an ideal prelude to an afternoon nap!  Pontivy and Guémené-sur- Scorff were pleasant towns to visit (the merry-go-round in the centre of Pontivy was a great hit with the kids) and the nearby outdoor activities centre was also good.  All in all, a great house in a great location."   Mike M and family. The holiday was fantastic. Your house is frankly amazing – everything about it was brilliant! Tranquil, comfortable, well equipped (we love the Cornish ware), fantastic location….I could go on. We did a fair bit of travelling around and were not disappointed by your recommendations. So a big thank you to you – I really hope we get to go out there again……soon!          Mark E and Joanne D. We thought the gite was well equiped compared with others we have stayed in and was exactly as we had expected. We appreciated the welcome pack and all the other bits and bobs. The information booklet was helpful. The garden, too, was great and the area excellent for what we wanted to do, eg walk, bird watch etc.    Lesley B. August 2008

As a family with small children, a real plus about Ty Pradigo is its location - you are within an easy walk of the village with its amenities but also many other facilities are just an easy drive away. Lovely beaches around Carnac were great for little kids, not too busy with rockpools to explore. The medieval village at Poul-Fetan was good for a rainy day option. The river Blavet at St Nicolas-des-Eaux was great for canoeing for our 5 year old (with Dad!) and Auray was also worth a day trip. The creperie up the road is unfortunately shut until 8 August, so we weren't able to sample their tasty looking menu!                           Sharon S. and family. July 2008

If it's relaxation you want in a friendly hamlet- Ty Pradigo is for you. Bonnes Vacances!
